Investigation And Research On The Vocabulary Of Hunan Chenxi Dialect

Scholars who study Chinese dialects in academic circles usually divide dialects according to pronunciation as standard.Scholars have also focused on phonology and grammar in Chenxi dialect,and have made some achievements,but lack of systematic research on vocabulary.Chenxi dialect is located in the transitional zone between Xiang dialect and Southwest Mandarin dialect.It is also controversial to discuss the ownership of Chenxi dialect from the phonetic angle.This article takes the vocabulary of Chenxi dialect in Hunan as the research object,through the field survey,sorted out the vocabulary of Chenxi dialect.Through comparison with the vocabulary of Mandarin and related dialects,this paper analyzes the characteristics of the words of chenxi,and discusses the attribution and zoning of chenxi dialect from the similarity of the words.There are five parts:The first part is the foreword.This part mainly introduces Chenxi and its dialect;A review of Chenxi dialect;Methods of research,sources of materials and survey collaborators;The phonetic system of Chenxi dialect.The second part is the lexical analysis of Chenxi dialect.This part compares the differences and similarities between the words of Chenxi dialect and the words of ordinary dialect from the five aspects of the number of syllables,morphemes,word formation,meaning and motivation.The origin of the vocabulary of Chenxi dialect is studied from four angles: ancient words,local characteristic words,borrowed words and familiar words.The third part is the comparison between Chenxi dialect and Jishou dialect,Changsha dialect and Xupu dialect.In this part,the similaritiesbetween Chenxi dialect vocabulary and these three dialects are analyzed,and the differences between Chenxi dialect vocabulary and these dialects are discussed.The fourth part discusses the vocabulary with local folk culture in Chenxi dialect from three aspects: production,life and superstition.The fifth part is the conclusion.This section gives a brief summary of the full text.
