Emotional expression,as an important part of emotional intelligence,refers to the ability embodied in the process of expressing or conveying emotional experience in a verbal or non-verbal manner.College students are at the most important stage of their development.At this time,college students have left their parents,left the familiar places,re-entered the strange environment,and entered a new stage of development.Therefore,the psychological characteristics of college students have also changed a lot.Emotional expression is an important factor in the emotional intelligence of college students.The emotional expression of college students is manifested in all aspects of life,and is closely related to their physical and mental health,interpersonal communication and social adaptation.In recent years,they have received increasing attention and attention from scholars at home and abroad.However,there have been researches in the field of emotional expression,but there are still some limitations of research such as the methods and the inability to reveal the influencing factors.Especially in the question of the influencing factors of the emotional expression of college students in China,there is still a lack of in-depth research.Self-esteem is an important personal trait that affects the emotional expression of college students.Self-esteem refers to the emotional experience that individuals produce in the process of judging self-worth and accepting the whole self.Previous studies have focused on self-esteem and emotional intelligence.They have not conducted in-depth research on specific components of emotional intelligence,and emotional expression is an important aspect of emotional intelligence.In view of this,based on previous studies of emotional expression,this study comprehensively use the literature method,questionnaire survey method and experimental method to carry out relevant research on the emotional expression of college students.Among them,the experiment uses emotional coding to study,which can more intuitively see the performance of different self-esteem individuals in emotional expression.This paper mainly carries out specific empirical research from the following two aspects:The first part focuses on the investigation of college students' self-esteem and emotional expression.Understand the characteristics of college students' emotional expression and study the relationship between self-esteem and emotional expression in demographic variables,and provide empirical evidence for subsequent experimental research;The second part focuses on the experimental research on the influence of college students' self-esteem on emotional expression.First,the coding points required for the formal experiment are selected through preliminary experiments,and then formal experiments are performed.Among them,the subjects were divided into high and low self-esteem groups to explore the influence of self-esteem on emotional expression under the two emotional conditions of happiness and anger.Through the above empirical research,this paper has obtained the following main conclusions:1.There are gender differences in the content of the expression and the expression of inhibition in college students;there are significant differences in the grades;there is a significant difference in the expression of the students;there is no significant difference in the expression of the students' emotions in the children.There is a correlation between self-esteem and emotional expression;self-esteem has a positive predictive effect on expression and a negative predictive effect on inhibitory expression.High self-esteem individuals are more willing to express their emotions,and low self-esteem individuals are more inclined to suppress their emotions.2.High self-esteem individuals express better emotions under happy mood and anger than low self-esteem individuals.3.The high self-esteem individual's emotional expression willingness and emotional expression sufficiency under happy mood and anger are stronger than low self-esteem individuals.
