Since a"rediscovery"of the Mount Ganzhuang at Tianyang country as a kind of holy land of Zhuang culture at the beginning of 21st century, the Folk Cultural and Tourist Festival of Buluotuo has become a controversial topic in China. This paper adopts the method of field investigation and literature analysis, starting from the concepts of comparative study of religion, investigates the existing mythological system and legal rituals of Mount Ganzhuang, tries to trace and understand the present situation of the development of the Buluotuo sacrificial ceremony and the folk song fair, and finally ponders on the issue of restatement of minority culture in our present world. The first chapter contains an introduction to some basic concepts of Buluotuo beliefs,a brief description of exiting research status, the author's several field investigations in Mount Ganzhuang and the theories and methods in the study of religion that the paper mainly uses for reference.Chapter ? focuses on the theme of restatement of Buluotuo mythology in Mount Ganzhuang.Firstly,it discusses the myths and legends collected by the author, including the creation of the world, human origin, tribal origin and cave worship, which may prove that Mount Ganzhuang, the legendary home of Buluotuo,is actually a sacred mountain for Zhuang nationality. Then it records in detail a religious scene practiced by the local ninety-year-old priestess,Madame Wangma Dade.Chapter ? is based on a field investigation report on the Buluotuo sacrifice ceremony in Mount Ganzhuang in 2018.It analyses the characteristics of polytheism of the Zhuang culture and the influence of Confucianism,Buddhism and Taoism cultures, and tries to figure out the controversy caused by the rediscovery of Mount Ganzhuang.Chapter ? takes the folk song fair as the main research object.Originally singers worshiped Buluotuo in the ancestral temple by singing Buluotuo sutra poetry, which became with time the folk song fair. The transformation of this tradition into an official tourist festival has brought challenges and controversies.Chapter ? tries to weigh the advantages and disadvantages of ethnic tourism in China. The increasing tourism facilitates the prosperity and development of local economy, and may be useful for the cultural preservation. But at the same time,we should be alert to the harm brought by excessive marketization and commercialization.Chapter ? explores the interaction and blending between Buluotuo beliefs and Confucian,Buddhist and Taoist traditions, which together constitute China's traditional cultural values and national identity. The case of intangible cultural heritage protection of Zhuang nationality may promote the protection and further development of the folk custom resources.
