This paper mainly investigates the number and grade of vocabulary,the selection and explanation of language points,the subject matter and style of the text,the length and difficulty of the text,and the number and type of exercises in the 21 st Century Chinese as a Foreign Language Textbook,Comprehensive Course(Intermediate)and puts for ward some appropriate suggestions for revision after analyzing the shortcomings.In the specific investigation,the author finds that the number of new words in volume 3 and volume 4 of the textbook is too small,and the distribution of new words in each lesson is not uniform.Volume 3 basically meets the requirements of the syllabus for middle-level students,but the number of super-syllabus words in volume 4 is too large;the number of language points in volume 3 and volume 4 is small and showing a downward trend,and the type of language points is relatively single.The way of explaining points is fixed,and the arrangement of language points is reasonable;the text in Book 4 is basically narrative style;the conversational style in Book 3 is more,the text length is shorter,and the text in social communication is less;the exercise questions are fixed,the minor ones are less,and the number of exercises between classes is too large.The difficulty of the exercises is inappropriate.In view of the above shortcomings,the author puts forward corresponding revision suggestions.
