This report is based on the task of C-E consecutive interpreting that the writer did at the Seminar on Tourism Development and Environmental Protection for Developing Countries of 2018.This report summarizes the omission and misinterpreting cases that occurred in the consecutive interpreting task and generalizes corresponding coping strategies.In the first chapter,the writer of the report introduces the background,content,preparation and the task of this consecutive interpreting.The second chapter analyzes the problems that occurred in the consecutive interpreting task.The writer defines omission and misinterpreting and analyses the causes of these problems through specific cases.The corresponding coping strategies for omissions and misinterpreting are demonstrated in Chapter Three,namely,the coping strategies during consecutive interpreting process are improving the effectiveness of notes,interpretive approach and addition.Improving the effectiveness of notes can be divided into three aspects,that are deverbalization,creating interpretive notes system and employing specific writing rules.Interpretive approach means explaining properly without affects the meaning of source language and addition means adding content to make the target language more correct while faithful to the original language.In the last chapter,the writer summarizes this C-E consecutive interpreting task.
