This consecutive interpreting practice report of conference,the topic of which is Business Introduction of China CITIC Bank,is based on the practice when the writer was responsible for the interpretation task during the internship at Academy for International Business Officials.In this report,the writer introduces the background and process of the task and illustrates the mistakes made in the interpretation.The mistakes include mistranslation of banking and finance jargon,lack of connotation of vocabularies with Chinese characteristics,illogical translation of long and difficult sentences,translation redundancy of repeated information,and omission of sentences with complicated information.After studying and researching,the writer finds out some appropriate strategies,namely,literal translation,explanatory translation,semantic parsing and restructuring,filling logical linking words,lessening translation and summarizing the core content,to deal with the problems in the interpreting practice with the hope to assist further studies in consecutive interpretation of conference made by the writer and other interpreters.Besides,the writer also makes a conclusion on this task,gains some inspiration from evaluation and provides an outlook of the writer's future study and work on interpretation.
