College students are the "inheritance of the country",which is not only related to the future development of the country and the prosperity of the nation,but also shoulders the heavy responsibility of building the country.Relevant research reports show that there are still many problems in the health status of college students at this stage,especially their health level is decreasing year by year.Under the increasingly fierce competition,college students have formed a strong ideological contrast due to learning pressure,employment pressure,social confusion and other reasons,and more and more mental health problems have emerged.Cha Cha Cha Dance is one of the five dances of Latin dance.It has the characteristics of passion,lively and pleasant style,which can bring joy to people and have a positive impact on improving the physical health,mental health and social adaptation of college students.Motivation is to stimulate and maintain the psychological motive or internal motivation of a person's activities.Motivation is the driving force that directly promotes people to engage in sports.So,how does it aflfect the motivation and stress response of ordinary college students?And what is the relationship between their motivation and stress response?Therefore,this article takes Qia Cha Cha Dance as an intervention method to explore whether Cha Cha Cha Dance exercise can improve the motivation and stress response of ordinary college students,and analyze the relationship between Cha Cha Cha Dance exercise and college students' mental health.In this paper,the exercise motivation scale compiled by the French scholar Briere et al.,and the stress response scale compiled by yu xixiang were used to measure the exercise motivation and stress response of 152 ordinary college students.Among them,72 students in the experimental group were given the cha-cha dance teaching intervention for 12 weeks,while 80 students in the control group were not given any systematic physical exercise.The research results show that:(1)Before the experiment,there was no significant difference in the level of exercise motivation and stress response between the experimental group and the control group,showing homogeneity.(2)After 12 weeks of cha-cha-cha dance exercise,the total scores and dimensions of exercise motivation in the experimental group and the control group changed in varying degrees,but the changes of the total scores and dimensions of exercise motivation in the experimental group were greater than those in the control group,and there were significant differences.(3)After 12 weeks of cha-cha-cha dance exercise,the total scores and dimensions of stress response in the experimental group and the control group changed in varying degrees,but the changes of the total scores and dimensions of stress response in the experimental group were greater than those in the control group,and there were significant differences.(4)The total score of sports motivation is significantly correlated with the total score of stress response,and sports motivation has a significant positive impact on the stress response.(5)Cha-cha exercise can not only improve the sports motivation of college students,but also reduce the stress response of college students.Sports motivation plays an intermediary role in the influence of cha-cha exercise on the stress response.
