Since the middle of 20~thh century, art exhibitions have held important practical significance and played an irreplaceable role and in the development of art ontology, public education, and social intervention.Due to a long period of development in art exhibits and projects management, contemporary museums and art galleries in the West have a hierarchical system of curators with clearly defined roles and responsibilities. The current system demonstrates characteristics of Western elitism, which aims to strengthen the role of individuals within the established systems. However,it lacks consideration and generalization of universal characteristics. Thus,a broader framework for exhibition designing, curating and planning needs to be developed. In China, the emergence of curators and curator management are only within recent decades.Management systems for exhibitions are also in the developmental phase as the era of modernization in China is later than that of the West. This allows for flexibility and growth in the development of prospective management system for art exhibits. As a result,China holds comparative advantages and greater potential in the promotion and advancement of exhibition design and planning compared to the West.Utilizing the theoretical lens of project management theory and methodology, the thesis aims to develop a management framework and strategy for exhibitions and curators. This thesis has a significant theoretical contribution to art exhibit management and also holds practical significance in the promotion and advancement of a comprehensive exhibition design and planning management system.
