Practice Report On Project Management Of Localizing Déjà Vu

Translation plays a great and unique role in promoting the connection,fusion and evolution of the world's multi-cultures of different nationalities.Today,with diverse modalities of translation,traditional translation scheme cannot fight alone to adapt to the market demand with multi-languages,multi-fields,multi-occupations and short delivery time.Clients need modern translation service which is related to specialization,procedure,teamwork and project all together to complete translation tasks,reinforce project management,optimize resource distribution and finally achieve the optimum balance of quality,cost and schedule.This report has recorded the initiating,planning and executing phase of the translation project management of localizing Déjà Vu.In the initiating phase,the author introduces the project source,evaluates the resources and analyzes the feasibility of the project.In the planning phase,the team formulates the translation style guide and terminology management guide.And in the executing phase,the team conducts the progress tracking management and quality management.With computer aided translation technology(hereinafter referred to as CAT technology)and a machine translation post-editing(hereinafter referred to as MTPE)mode to control the time and quality of the translation process,the report intends to achieve the goal of working collaboratively,ensuring the quality of translation and promoting translation efficiency.
