The Use Of Abstract Language In Contemporary Sculpture

After the 20 th century,the rapid development of contemporary art can not be separated from the changes of materials,concepts,technology and social forms.More diverse forms combine some interdisciplinary disciplines of environment,space,acoustic optoelectronics,and even ecology.In the multi-domain possibilities of utilization or combination,every new attempt of contemporary sculptors may become a pointer to redefine the boundary of sculpture.When the language of sculpture is given greater freedom,sculptors are more eager to find new ways of thinking and expression of sculpture.The concrete form can no longer fully show the concept,so it chooses to turn to abstract expression.In the aesthetic cognition of the reference object,abstract expression first breaks away from the description of the appearance and changes from "likeness of form" to "likeness of god".Secondly,we get rid of the single physical reference,so as to combine multiple external objects or even nothing.Finally,the body weight is reorganized or stretching is exaggerated to form more distinct features.This article talks about some contemporary artists in the form of sculpture creation,material and abstract language of personal aesthetic ideal expression.In the development process of contemporary sculpture,the concept and image from split to unity to final harmony.My thinking process in the creation of Farewell has also undergone changes,from concrete expression to abstract expression,and ultimately its external objects and concepts are fully in line.By exploring the use of abstract language in artist's sculpture works,this article provides help for his body recognition and sculpture creation.
