Professional Discourse (Chapter 7-8) English-Chinese Translation Practice Report

This translation practice report is based on the functional comprehensibility of legislative texts in Chapter 7 and the legislative writing process in Chapter 8 of Professional Discourse as translation practice materials.On this basis,this translation practice report is written,which describes the whole process of the translation and probes into the problems encountered in translation practice.In view of the different problems encountered in the process of translation,such as appositive clauses ?attributive clauses and long and difficult sentences,they are mainly analyzed by outside-part structure,sentence separation and textual cohesion,and the translator mainly uses the foreignization to deal with the translation.Through this translation practice,the translator has a specific understanding and understanding of the entire translation process,and has made some progress in detecting and solving problems in the practice process.The methods of translation summarized in the report are expected to be useful for the translators with interests and the report can provide new ideas and thinking to students interested in translating legislative texts.
