Since its launch,the WeChat public platform has developed into the largest self-media platform in China in just 7 years.With its strong influence,WeChat has successfully developed a variety of business profit models from the media,and has been favored by a large number of commercial capital.However,with the continuous development of the economy and the Internet,the text-only content form of WeChat self-media is no longer suitable for people's life rhythm.Moreover,WeChat Self-Media has also been impacted by media platforms such as Douyin,Kuaishou,Himalaya,etc.,which use video,audio and other sensory stimuli,resulting in WeChat Self-Media's average reading rate and open rate in recent years have reached new lows and influence The decline has seriously hindered the development of its business model.The research in this paper found that the current WeChat self-media has no disadvantages compared to other media platforms in terms of the quality of copywriting content,but there are certain disadvantages in the way content is expressed,which is not conducive to user information acquisition.Therefore,the information acquisition behavior of WeChat self-media should be studied in depth from the perspective of visual communication design principles to alleviate the current difficulties encountered by WeChat self-media.This article first systematically sorted out the main research results of WeChat self-media,information acquisition behavior and visual communication design;then,we classified the interface of WeChat self-media and analyzed the different visual elements in each interface to users from the perspective of visual communication design The effect of information acquisition effectiveness;Finally,through an experiment to obtain the effect of visual communication design on WeChat self-media information acquisition,and according to the experimental data to WeChat self-media practitioners targeted suggestions and countermeasures.This research has certain practical significance for helping self-media out of the current dilemma and for the further development of WeChat self-media industry.At the same time,it has a more in-depth discussion on WeChat self-media from a new perspective,which further enriches the current theoretical research results of WeChat self-media.
