As a sign of the end of daily communication,farewell is an indispensable part of social life.But different cultural backgrounds lead people to choose different farewell words,there are farewell forms in Chinese that English doesn't have,as well as in English,these forms also cannot be understood through simple translation.When the teaching target is foreign students whose native language is English,find out the differences in the form and use of Chinese and English farewell,The characteristics of Chinese farewell are obtained by comparison,and investigate whether these characteristics are concerned in the use of textbooks and foreign students.To improve the efficiency of classroom teaching,improve accuracy and appropriateness of international students communication,and carry out targeted teaching activities.The first step is to understand the meaning of farewell words in Chinese and English,including their classifications.Secondly,the similarities and differences in the forms and pragmatics of farewell in the two languages are analyzed and compared.Preliminary prediction of foreign students may appear difficulties in learning and using Chinese farewell.Analyze the impact on teaching.Then for students and textbooks,investigate the presentation of Chinese farewell words in oral textbooks.In addition,the questionnaire survey method is adopted for the foreign students whose native language is English,collecting real data.analyzes the deficiencies of oral Chinese teaching materials and foreign students in Chinese teaching and learning.International students can understand and master different forms of Chinese farewell,which is helpful to improve their oral language quality.
