Research On Chinese "Eight Auspiciousness" Images

The Chinese civilization has a long history with broad and profound culture,the internal auspicious culture is exactly an indispensable part of Chinese traditional culture.For the inheritance and development of auspicious culture,auspicious images play an irreplaceable role.The theme of auspicious images often contains Chinese traditional cultural beliefs and spiritual pursuits,which is also an important category of ancient Chinese decorative arts.As one of the representative traditional auspicious images,the image of "eight auspicious" is popular among the Chinese people and is a gem in the treasure house of traditional Chinese art,because of its distinctive and unique shape,rich symbolic significance and extensive social influence.This paper mainly researches and analyzes the Chinese "eight auspicious" image from three aspects: the overview of the "eight auspicious" image,the origin and evolution of the "eight auspicious" image,and the manifestation of the "eight auspicious" image,hoping to reveal the traditional culture,religious belief and symbolic significance contained in the images,and summarize the traditional design concepts and forms of the "eight auspicious" image,by studying and analyzing characteristics and artistic processing methods of the images.On this basis,the paper explores and practices the integration of traditional "eight auspicious" image and modern graphic design,and also tries to discover the significance and practical application of "eight auspicious" image in Chinese modern design.
