The Application Of Domestication In Noun Translation

The materials involved in this report are from Enterprise Agreement of Charles Sturt University.The author writes a translation report on the basis of translating the contents from English to Chinese.Nouns are an important part of English sentences,and nouns often contain lots of information.In order to get a better translation,the author refers to previous studies on noun translation and finds that many scholars pay attention to the translation of proper nouns.However,the author finds that the translation of common nouns is also of great research value.Since this text is a legal text and belongs to an information text,translators will pay special attention to the transmission of source language information and the acceptance of information by the target readers.The author refers to previous studies and finds that the application of domestication can effectively meet the purpose of transmitting information while giving consideration to the target language readers.This paper takes nouns in Enterprise Agreement of Charles Sturt University as the research object,analyzing the characteristics of legal texts,and explains the suitability of domestication translation strategy,so as to select more suitable translation methods and improve the translation quality as much as possible.The author finds that the domestication translation strategy is suitable for noun translation.
