The “Class Observation and Practice” course is one of the courses of Intensive Chinese Class in the College of International Chinese Study,Shanghai Normal University.And it is also a new course of the curriculum system for international students in our university.This paper takes the course of “Class Observation and Practice” as the research object,combining the previous research results on “Practical Courses” and “Extracurricular Practical Activities” of TCFL.Taking action research as the main research method,we try to design and improve the course from three aspects of “course analysis”,“course design” and “teaching case demonstration”.In the “Course analysis”,course orientation,curriculum significance and the teaching object are analyzed which determine the “practice course” nature of the course,expound the relationship between the course and other courses to strengthen the Chinese class,and proves the necessity and rationality of the course from both the problem of language output and the class teaching mode“Teaching objectives”,“Course content”,“Teaching method”,“Test and evaluation” and “requirements for teachers” are five aspects of the overall teaching included in the “Curriculum design” part which determine the basis for making the teaching objective,formulate the teaching objective of “classroom observation and practice”,select the teaching content and make the teaching plan with “Five Principles” as the center table,and determine the teaching methods,testing and evaluation methods,the requirements for teachers.,and college training program“Teaching design demonstration” takes two teaching designs in the course as an example and can be divided into three following parts,“teaching design”,“teaching implementation” and “teaching summary and reflection”.It embodies the idea of “practical activities” in the class of “Class Observation and Practice”,curriculum arrangement which full of flexibility,and the course improvement method through action research.It is believed that through the research,formulation and implementation of the curriculum design of “Class Observation and Practice”,we can improve the Chinese communicative ability,practical ability and cultural adaptability of the students in the Chinese language learning class,supplement and improve the curriculum system of the Chinese language learning major of the students in our school,and provide some experience and experience for the reform and exploration of the curriculum setting of the students.
