Homework is the extension and expansion of classroom teaching.It can help students digest knowledge more effectively,consolidate and use what they have learned,and further explore and expand.At present,there are some problems in primary school English homework design,such as simple,mechanical,single form,students' passivity and so on.In fact,homework itself is also a learning process,which should not be limited to the purpose of consolidating knowledge,but also to cultivate the core quality of students' subject and improve their various abilities.In the practice of English teaching,"project learning" is an effective way of comprehensive learning.The project-based homework is a comprehensive afterschool work with the project as the carrier.This study uses literature research,case study,action research and other research methods to conduct a thorough and comprehensive study on the design of English project-based homework in primary schools.Aiming at the problem of how to design project-based homework,based on the theory of "learning by doing" and the theory of multiple intelligences,the paper puts forward the elements of project-based homework,including project source,theme,content,requirement,achievement and evaluation.This paper summarizes the characteristics of project-based homework and classifies it,based on "project",with three types: Exhibition,Performance and Practical exploration.From the aspects of Curriculum Standard,students' characteristics and project learning characteristics,the requirements of project-based homework design are formulated.After the above research,the writer carries out detailed cases of homework-designing research with "project" as the carrier,and analyzes and improves for each case.After that,according to the characteristics of different types of work,some design suggestions are put forward for the evaluation of work results.From the aspects of teachers,students and experts,this paper investigates and analyzes the recognition and rationality of this assignment,and finally summarizes the shortcomings and suggestions for improvement.In a word,the purpose of this study is to innovate and explore the design of primary school English homework,as a theoretical breakthrough to improve primary school English homework and reflect the goal of curriculum standards,so as to improve the current situation of homework,give full play to the function and value of English homework,and realize the formation of students' core quality of English discipline.
