Career plateau is a kind of stagnation in the process of individual career development,which is reflected in the low possibility of further promotion,job flow,undertaking greater or more responsibilities,learning new knowledge and new skills.After working for a period of time,some civil servants will have career plateau phenomenon,which will lead to decreased work enthusiasm and work efficiency,reduced job satisfaction,and occupational burnout,which will have a negative impact on their work and life.In view of this,career plateau is increasingly becoming an issue of common concern for individuals and organizations.It is very necessary to study the status quo of career plateau of civil servants,especially in a few regions,and its impact on job satisfaction.On the basis of relevant studies at home and abroad,this paper conducts a comprehensive and systematic study on civil servants in ethnic minority areas,and on this basis,puts forward some inspirations to deal with the phenomenon of occupational plateau,providing certain reference for organizing and effectively alleviating the sense of occupational stagnation of civil servants in ethnic minority areas.This study is divided into three parts.In the first part,the domestic and foreign maturity scales were used to measure the career plateau and job satisfaction status of civil servants in minority areas,and the differences in career plateau and job satisfaction of civil servants in minority areas with different demographic characteristics were compared.The second part discusses the relationship between the career plateau of civil servants in minority areas and their dimensions and job satisfaction.The third part puts forward the countermeasures to alleviate the phenomenon of the career plateau of civil servants in minority areas.In this study,data were collected through questionnaires and SPSS21.0 was used for statistical analysis of the survey data.The results showed that:First,the career plateau of civil servants in minority areas is at the medium level,but 39.7%of civil servants have a certain degree of stagnation in their career development,and nearly 17%of civil servants have reached the peak of their career.Second,the civil servant's job satisfaction in the minority area of the medium level,nearly 63%of civil servants are satisfied with the work I do,that the generally high job satisfaction,from the perspective of the various dimensions of job satisfaction,colleague satisfaction>work itself satisfaction>pay satisfaction>communication satisfaction>promotion satisfaction,the highest colleague satisfaction,promotion satisfaction.Thirdly,there are differences in the demographic characteristic variables in the dimensions of occupational plateau and job satisfaction in ethnic minority areas,among which,there are significant differences in the dimensions of promotion stagnation among civil servants in ethnic minority areas with different educational backgrounds.There are significant differences in the dimensions of career plateau and job satisfaction among the civil servants in minority regions with different ages,positions and working hours.There were no significant differences in the dimensions of career plateau and job satisfaction among the civil servants in ethnic minority areas.Fourth,there is a significant negative correlation between all dimensions of career plateau and all dimensions of job satisfaction.Fifth,the career plateau dimensions have significant negative predictive effects on pay satisfaction,promotion satisfaction,colleague satisfaction,job satisfaction,communication satisfaction and job satisfaction.
