Research On Russian-US Diplomatic Relations During Putin's Third Term

In May 2012,Vladimir Putin was re-elected as President of the Russian Federation and began his third term of office.During the six years of Putin's third term,Russia-US relations were a process of gradual cooling.The political,economic,and military confrontation between the two countries has intensified.During this period,Russia-US relations also showed some new features.Although the confrontation between Russia and the United States is intensifying,considering the consideration of various factors,this confrontation is limited to a controllable range,and it is unlikely that a new "cold war" will be launched between Russia and the United States.Based on the strategic confrontation between Russia and the United States in Ukraine and the Middle East,the thesis studies the Russian-US diplomatic relations during Putin's third term.There are three part in my paper.It includes: introduction,main body and the conclusion.The introduction part introduces the purpose and significance of the topic,the research status of the subject at home and abroad,the difficulties and innovations of the thesis writing,and the writing ideas and methods.The first chapter of the thesis mainly introduces Putin's third-term Russian diplomatic strategy and its policy toward the United States.This chapter first introduces the source of consideration for Putin's new Russian diplomatic strategy.Then,the important contents of Putin's new term "Concept" were briefly introduced.The second chapter of the thesis focuses on the Ukrainian issue in Russia-US relations.The Ukrainian crisis is a turning point in the easing of Russia-US relations to confrontation.After the Ukrainian crisis,the United States and Europe imposed a number of economic sanctions on Russia,and Russia also carried out anti-sanctions.The third chapter of the thesis mainly studies the game between Russia and the United States in the Middle East.The Middle East is an important region for the strategic game between Russia and the United States.It is the established policy of the United States to remove Russia's allies in the Middle East and to compress Russia's strategic space in the Middle East.However,the complicated situation in the Middle East has caused Russia and the United States to confront each other on the Syrian war and the Iranian nuclear issue,and to cooperate with each other in the fight against terrorism.Although there is certain cooperation,as long as the differences in strategic interests between Russia and the United States are not resolved,the essence of the confrontation between Russia and the United States will not change,and cooperation between the two countries will not last long.The fourth chapter of the thesis mainly discusses the characteristics and prospects of Russia-US relations.This chapter first summarizes the characteristics of Putin's third term Russia-US diplomatic relations.Then it looks forward to the future development trend of Russia-US relations.The conclusion part briefly summarizes the writing ideas and key points of this article.
