Research On The Application Of Case Work In Community Corrections

Since the implementation of community correction pilot work,China's community correction cause has made considerable progress,but there are still many problems to be improved,one of which is that the education correction is focused on education,classified education,especially personalized education.According to the investigation results of the judicial department of district J in Yangzhou,the implementation content and process of community correction work in all township judicial offices in district J are largely the same with minor differences and lack of pertinence.An important reason for this result is the weakness of the community corrections in the judiciary.In this context,the introduction of social forces,especially the participation of social workers in the personal correction of community prisoners has a strong practical significance.The author takes the theory of social ecosystem,the perspective of advantage,and the theory of social support as the theoretical support,and uses the method of case interview and participatory observation to collect data,and has carried out casework intervention for the community prisoner L of Yangzhou Z Judicial Institute.The complete process of professional services was presented in detail,and the intervention effect was measured.On this basis,the professionalism of case work involved in community correction was reflected.The service process of L reflects the professional advantages of case work in community correction,which are mainly manifested as follows:social workers can collect more comprehensive information of service objects;Ethics codes for case work provide ideological support for social workers;Social workers can make service objects get more humanistic care in the process of being served;Social workers can effectively integrate the peripheral resources of service objects and improve service quality and efficiency.Some dilemmas of case work involved in community correction practice include:the period of case work is long,the effect is slow and the consumption is large;The quality of social workers is very high;It is difficult for social workers to gain the trust of service objects so as to establish professional relations smoothly.Social workers have little influence and unclear positioning,making it difficult to mobilize resources.Finally,the process of case intervention is reflected:the improvement of"self-nature" of community prisoners and the construction of professional relationship between them and social workers;The status and ethics of social workers in community correction;The combination of social workers' professional skills and social experience;How social workers can further develop their professional roles.
