Paying attention and strengthening civic education to promote the adaptation of educated people to social development and cultivating their awareness and ability to participate in the public life of the country and society is a major trend in education reform in all countries of the world today.In a certain sense,the prosperity of a country depends on the degree of development of civic education.American school civic education has established a relatively complete system with clear objectives and objectives,as well as detailed and feasible educational content and implementation plans.Since the 1980 s,neoliberalism,as the mainstream ideology of American society,has had a profound impact on the economic and social aspects of the United States.American school civic education is no exception.Neo-liberalism has had a wide and profound impact on the concept,content,and ways of civic education in American schools.It has also had a certain impact on civic education in schools around the world,including China.The paper is mainly divided into three parts.The first part is mainly the first chapter and the second chapter.The first is to introduce the background,purpose and significance of the research,and to summarize the basic connotation and historical development of neoliberalism.Secondly,to the American school citizen from the vertical and horizontal dimensions.The historical evolution and basic content of education were analyzed.The third is the analysis and elaboration of the interrelationship between neoliberalism and American school civic education.The second part is mainly the third chapter,focusing on the study of the impact of neoliberalism on the basic content,basic approaches,basic concepts and basic mechanisms of American school civic education since the 1980 s.The third part is the fourth chapter of the thesis,which is mainly to explore the effectiveness evaluation of the influence of neoliberalism on the civic education of American schools and the enlightenment to the development of civic education in our country from the scientific perspective of Marxism.This paper believes that school civic education is the basis of ideological and political education in China,and it is also the most direct and powerful way to cultivate modern citizens.In the new era,in the process of promoting the implementation of civic education in schools,China must always adhere to the guiding position of Marxism,thoroughly implement the socialist education thoughtswith Chinese characteristics in the new era of internship,and be highly vigilant against the impact of neoliberalism on the civic education of our country.The impact is to nurture and practice the socialist core values ??throughout the entire process of school civic education,so as to better cultivate qualified builders and reliable successors of socialism with Chinese characteristics.
