China is a multi-ethnic country with 55 ethnic minorities,most of whom live:in border areas.In general,China's mass media has developed rapidly;but in ethnic minority areas in the border areas,due to geographical remoteness and slow economic development,the media has been slow to develop and is still in a disadvantaged position.As a country with multiple nationalities,the media plays a decisive role in promoting information development and building a harmonious society.Therefore,it is particularly important to pay attention to the development of mass media in ethnic minority areas.Based on the questionnaire survey and the field survey method,this paper takes the Blang ethnic group in Xishuangbanna as a research sample,and selects the three brown cottages of Lao Mang,Da Manmi and Xiao Manmi as research sites for newspapers,radio,television,mobile phones,and the Internet.Investigate the frequency,time,content preferences,media satisfaction and trust of the media in five aspects,and comprehensively grasp the real situation of the media contact and use of the Brown residents.It is hoped that from the perspective of grassroots minority audiences,the role and existing problems of mass media in the information services of ethnic minority communities in border areas are reflected.This research mainly includes three parts,namely introduction,theory and conclusion.It is divided into six parts.The specific research contents of each part are as follows:The first part is the introduction,which mainly describes the origin of the research,the purpose and significance of the research,the related research summary at home and abroad,the main content and research methods,as well as the research ideas and innovations of the paper.Finally,the relevant concepts involved in the article are analyzed and defined.The second part is the part of this thesis.First,the situation of the Blang ethnic group in Banna,including the natural environment(geographical location,population distribution,etc.)and the social and cultural environment(economics,language,writing,education,customs,etc.)were investigated and analyzed.It summarizes the development of the mass media in Brown.The third part is the key chapter of this paper.Firstly,the basic situation of the audience in Brown area of Banna is carefully combed,including(gender,age,income,education,occupation,mass media possession),etc.,and then through the questionnaire.And in-depth interviews to the statistics of the ownership of the mass media(newspaper,radio,television,mobile phone,Internet)of the Blang ethnic audience,and from the(time,frequency,content preferences,media satisfaction and trust)and other dimensions'The survey and statistics of the use of the mass media of the Blang community were carried out,and the use of the mass media of the Blang ethnic audience was visualized by means of charts and the like.Finally,a summary of the survey results was made.The fourth part and the fifth part,from the above Imedia use survey results,combed and analyzed the use of the Blang mass media in the Banna region:the infrastructure is backward,the new media resources are scarce;the media information supply and demand is misplaced,the contradictions are significant;the cultural level is low,Media literacy is low;intergenerational communication is expanding,family knowledge is obvious,and so on.Finally,the problems found are raised from the government,the media,and the audience.The sixth part is the conclusion part,which summarizes and reflects on the full text.
