In the development stage of new urbanization in China, the proportion of demolition and resettlement communities in urban communities is increasing. The demolition and resettlement community is often a space where local residents and foreign residents live together.Due to the mixed living space in the community and the difference in values among the community residents,in the new community environment, community residents may have many behavior problems to make the community space.Governance is in trouble. In the existing research, the governance and transformation of the public activity space of the demolition and resettlement community has been comprehensive.Although the spatial management of the public activities of the demolition and resettlement community has been concerned, the research on the public activity space of the demolition and resettlement community has not been paid attention from the perspective of spatial behavior.To.Therefore,this paper analyzes the optimization strategy of the public space of the demolition and resettlement community from the perspective of analyzing the public use space characteristics of the local residents and foreign residents in the demolition and resettlement communities, and provides a new idea for the urban social geography to guide the governance of the community space. In the process of research, this paper starts with the literature and materials to understand the development status of the demolition and resettlement community in China. The behavioral geography theory, environmental behavior theory, time geography theory, conflict theory, etc.are used as the theoretical framework for research. The questionnaire and in-depth observation method were used to conduct on-the-spot investigations on the residents of the demolition and resettlement community in Xi'an.The relevant data processing and analysis were carried out by means of EXCEL and SPSS,mainly to understand the composition of the community residents, the differences in the public space activities of different residents, and the residents' public activities on the community. The cognition of space and its influencing factors, and the analysis of the spatial behavioral conflicts of different actors, and the corresponding spatial governance strategies, thus improving the spatial quality of demolition and resettlement communities.Through theoretical and empirical research, this paper mainly draws the following conclusions:(1)The characteristics of residents' spatial activities are influenced by the individual's socio-economic attributes, family socio-economic attributes, and community public space attributes.(2)The outdoor public space used by the residents in the demolition and resettlement community is divided into four categories: community plaza, community road, community green space and community vacant land.Different types of public space have significant differences in spatial layout, activity type, and use population.(3)Different actors may cause conflicts in space use due to differences in activity attributes.Commonly, there are time conflicts, sound conflicts, and space conflicts.(4)The strength of conflicts and the types of conflicts generated by different types of public spaces in the community are also different. This is related to the difference of space itself.Different space design, site area, and attraction to different forms of activities are also different. The difference of this form of activity causes the difference of conflicts in different space types. At the end of the paper, the paper provides guidance and suggestions for the management of public space management in the community from the optimization of space and material environment, the guidance of residents' use behavior, and the improvement of the overall design and planning of the community.
