Recently,with the developing of quality education in elementary schools and middle schools,a higher and updated requirement is promoted in junior high school art teaching.The traditional concept of heavy skills and less humanities is abandoned;instead how to widen the students' horizon and enhance their aesthetic ability has become the new teaching object.All of these make art history education becoming a bridge between art knowledge and its culture background.However,nowadays art history education is missing in junior high school art teaching,which is caused by many factors.This phenomenon makes it difficult to maximize the effectiveness of humanities in education,besides it can't provide a strong support for a student's overall development.This research will first analyze this problem,then a new concept will be provided and put into practice,finally some advices will be given.This study can be divided into four parts.The first part is the theoretical research of art history education.In this part,firstly how to start art history education in junior high school art teaching will be explained;secondly the influence and reaction of art history education on junior high school students will be showed;thirdly a conclusion on the history of art history education in China and the situation abroad will be given.The second part is an investigation on how the art history education is applied in junior high school art teaching nowadays.Both question survey and interview survey are employed in this part,and advices are given based on the survey results.The third part tries to find the factors that limit the application of art history education in junior high school art teaching.Last but not least is the conclusion,how to expanding the application of art history education in junior high school art teaching is studied.By analyzing the first three parts and considering my own teaching experience,reasonable advices are finally given.Based on the theory and practice in the previous parts,this research aims to bringing inspiration to current education philosophy,teaching mode,etc.Successively the performance of junior high school art teaching can be improved,and the students' overall quality can also become better.
