With the continuous manifestation of the museum’s educational function, various forms of museum exhibition projects become one of the ways to play the role of social education.Museums are gradually aware of their important role in school education, thus continue to strengthen cooperation with the schools to speed up the integration of museum education into the basic education system.Under such background and efforts, the museum-school collaboration in our country has gradually achieved good results in preliminary exploration. The museums take the initiative to go out and actively cooperate with the school’s teaching objectives, which mobilizes the enthusiasm of teachers and students so that the museum resources are further used. However, the problem of unfair distribution of museum resources also appears.Due to the influence of the museum’s own conditions, geographical, economic and other factors, the urban schools take more priority and comprehensive use of museum resources, and rural schools are less likely to enjoy the resources.Based on this, with the research background of the functions overlap of museum education and school education, this paper researches on rural school’s teachers and students’ understanding of the museums and their utilization condition of museum resources, analyzes and summarizes the problems during using the museum resources by rural primary and secondary schools.Based on the analysis of the characteristics of the two levels of units of provincial museums and local museums, and combined with the educational system and national conditions of our country, this paper puts forward a feasible scheme according to the classification of museums. It explores a suitable way for the museum-school collaboration in rural schools,so that the problem of fair distribution of social resources can be solved;and it provides a variety of choices and help for the all-round development of rural students.
