In order to make education fairer and substantially change the situation of stagnated education in minority areas, governments and social organizations of all levels have successively adopted a series of characteristics and methods.Receiving education outside the hometown is an approach with outstanding effect for minorities.Since 1997,Kunming Girls' School has been one of the first batch which opens senior high school boarding system classes according to the "Spring Buds Program" jointly implemented by the Provincial Women's Federation,Provincial Board of Education and Provincial Ethnic Affairs Commission.Minority girls come to study in Kunming Girls' School from their hometowns.Hence, they differ greatly in many aspects such as life habit and cultural traditions, thus causing their inadaptation in the school and disturbing their academic study. This paper, based on the sample of Kunming Girls' School, drafted a questionnaire and an interview outline, and conducted the survey on students and teachers of the school for many times respectively in April 2016(the preparation period for the college entrance exam)and in October 2016(the season for newcomers).230 questionnaire copies were handed out in total and 201 were collected.Genuine survey data was obtained.Six teachers including the dean of academic affairs, group leader of the grade, class advisor, subject teacher, life affairs teacher and psychological teacher were interviewed.Meanwhile, ten students were interviewed, covering common students, class committee members, leaders in the Student Union and head of school clubs. On this basis, the paper analyzed from multiple perspectives such as students' satisfaction degree with Kunming education environment, life, interpersonal communication and academic study so as to observe and study how "Spring Buds students" from minority poverty-stricken areas adapt to study and life in a different place with multi-culture.It can be found through the survey that up to 44.7%of minority girls are unsatisfied with "their study and life status",mainly demonstrated in aspects of"Kunming's social public morality and people's friendliness",“English","academic pressure","computer" and "self-presentation",etc.They find it difficult to blend in.Given these problems, the following suggestions are proposed:organically combine multi-culture education reform,non-official curriculum organization and diversified campus cultures, and help minority girls fit in the new education environment as soon as possible through comprehensiveness of multi-culture;proactively take psychological assistance measures and provide timely psychological counseling according to those indaptation problems of minority girls so as to let them treat problems and difficulties in a correct and positive way as well as ensuring psychological health.
