Research On The Evaluation Method For The Neatness Of Handwritten Hard Pen Italics Based On Structural Replacement

The evaluation of Chinese character's handwritten quality is significant for the realization of Chinese characters automatic teaching.In the automatic teaching process,the functions of grading Chinese character's writing intelligently,discovering the problems of handwriting and give the writer corresponding advice and so on,which can provide the real-time feedback to students and lighten the Chinese teachers' burden.Existing evaluation of Chinese character's handwritten quality always uses the statistical methods to get rough evaluations or scores,such as beautiful,good or poor,which cannot meet the demand of evaluations in automation teaching.Inspired by this,the author studied the method of grading and evaluating the kai style Chinese character's handwritten quality based on structure substitution method.And the author started the research from four aspects:extracting the character's features based on tags,grading the handwritten Chinese characters based on the features' degree of similarity.improving the evaluation of the kai style Chinese character's handwritten quality based on structure substitution method,and using experiments to verify the result.In order to reduce the difficulty of extracting features,the author designed a feature extraction method based on tags.First,Chinese character's features and weights were decided through the expert forecast method and the features discussed between the computer teacher and the calligraphic expert could be recognized by the computer at last.Second,the stroke library was established by stroke types and stroke codes.Component library was established by stroke library and the relations between strokes.At last,Word library was established by the component library and the relations between components.Third,before the process of extracting features,the original points were needed to be preprocessed to reduce the interference of feature extraction.During the preprocessing,it mainly included eliminating flying-points,reducing and smoothing the points' noise.Improving the algorithm of inflexion extraction to extract sub-strokes.At last,according to the word library's tag to extract the features of word's structure.According to the component library's tag to extract the features of the components' relations,and the component's structure.According to the stroke library's tag to extract the features of strokes'relations and the stroke's structure.The study used the above method of feature extraction to extract the user's feature set and the standard template's feature set separately.Then using the ratio method or differential method to calculate features' similarities and to judge the corresponding level.According to the above weights to get the weight set.According to the similarity level set and weight set to calculate every feature's deducted score,and got the character's grade.The study proposed a method to improve the evaluation of the kai style Chinese character's handwritten quality based on structure substitution method.There was a strong correlation between features,so the evaluation appears to a certain degree of association repetition.Thus the proposed method of structure substitution in turn utilized this relation to find the serious problems.First,according the deducted score to rank the features,and getting the top 5 features.Substituting every feature in the top 5 feature set to get the score set,and putting the suggestion corresponding to the feature which get the highest score to the evaluation set.In the original point set,substituting the original feature and entering the next cycle until the number of suggestions in evaluation set was greater than or equal to five.The experiment showed that the method suggested in this article was effective to some extent.but still needed to be improved.
