To pay attention to the scientific spirits of "seeking the truth" in the history teaching of junior high School can construct rational thinking for students.The History Curriculum Standard of compulsory Education(2011 Edition)clearly points out in the values of emotional attitude,"understanding the role of the development of science and technology in promoting the progress of human history,gradually forming a scientific attitude of respecting science,advocating science and establishing a scientific attitude of seeking truth,truth-seeking and innovation",which emphasizes the importance of cultivating scientific spirits in history curriculum at the national level.In the new period,the proposal of core literacy also requires the cultivation of students’ scientific spirits in junior high school.The cultivation of scientific spirits in history teaching in junior high school mainly refers to the cultivation of students’ scientific attitude and scientific literacy with the core of "seeking truth" in history teaching.Therefore,cultivating students’ scientific spirits in history teaching in junior high school should not only pay attention to the study of science and technology contents,guiding students feeling the rigorous attitude of scientists in history towards science and establish the consciousness of seeking truth and reality,but also pay attention to guiding students’rational thinking,daring to ask questions and improving the ability of seeking truth and reality on the basis of independent inquiry.Based on the characteristics of the history subject and the requirements of the new curriculum reform,the scientific spirits of the junior high school students is trained to meet the needs of the development of an innovative society and to achieve the educational goal of the history subject.It is of great significance to implement the requirements of the new curriculum reform of history and to embody the value orientation of the core accomplishment of the history subject.In order to understand the current situation of cultivating students’ scientific spirits in the stage of compulsory education,the author conducted a questionnaire survey on some students in the X Middle School Department of Yangzhou City,Jiangsu Province and conducted a questionnaire survey on the students’ cognition of public science.Students’ cognition of history and science,the relationship between history and science,students’ historical learning methods and attitudes,students’ concern about history textbooks and students’ concern about history teachers’ teaching are analyzed.At the same time,the author interviews the history teachers of junior middle school about the cultivation of scientific spirit.The investigation shows that junior high school students’ scientific spirits are weak and the cultivation of history teachers’ scientific spirits needs to be improved.This problems mainly caused by the lack of scientific and technological contents in history textbooks,the lack of professional literacy of history teachers,the lack of questioning spirit of students and the single evaluation method of history teaching.The cultivation of scientific spirits in history teaching in junior high school should carry out two principles,on the one hand,which means the principle of development and the principle of combining scientific spirits with humanistic spirits.On the other hand,relevant strategies should be adopted in a targeted manner:firstly,from the perspective of teaching materials,science and technology materials should be added to the compilation,and advanced presentation methods should be introduced;secondly,from the teacher level,history teachers should constantly improve their own professional accomplishmenst.On the basis of making full use of textbooks,attention should be paid to the secondary development of textbooks to supplement relevant knowledge.At the same time,teachers should also permeate the cultivation of scientific spirits in the whole teaching process;thirdly,students should learn to understand history dialectically,form the habit of rational thinking,set up the attitude of daring to question and cultivate the spirit of independent inquiry;At last,from the perspective of teaching evaluation,we should improve the evaluation methods and consider the scientific spirits reasonably.
