With the rapid development of science and technology,the country ’s demand for comprehensive innovative talents has become higher and higher,and the curriculum reform of vocational education and technical education has also been continuously promoted.The rise and development of STEM education in the United States and other developed countries is gradually gaining attention from experts and scholars in China.From the perspective of the characteristics of physics,physics involves both theoretical knowledge and is closely related to production,life,and engineering.In this topic,the author puts forward the research on literature and the comparison of teaching materials,and puts forward that teachers in the middle school physics teaching will integrate the STEM education engineering technology concept into the teaching strategies of physics knowledge.The author summarizes the literature that describes the characteristics of STEM education.The STEM education concept is a fusion of science,technology,engineering,and mathematics,and reflects the balance between science education and engineering education.This fusion shows that in physics teaching,it is necessary to pay attention to the study of theoretical knowledge,but also to strengthen the training of students in engineering technology.Integrating the STEM concept does not entirely allow students to learn technology,nor does it create another mode of education that places too much emphasis on engineering learning.Instead,it integrates STEM-related engineering concepts into the daily physical learning process.This will not only improve students’ mastery of theoretical knowledge,but also stimulate students’ interest in learning in many ways so that students can be fully developed.From the current status of the education research in the new curriculum reform in 2001,the author finds that there are still problems in the basic education stage in China that emphasize the teaching of theoretical knowledge and ignore engineering and technical education.The educational research literature published by a large number of first-line teaching staff is still emphasized in physics.In classroom teaching,students’ learning of theoretical knowledge is mainly emphasized,but there is no shortage of hope to cultivate students’ hands-on abilities and level of inquiry through experimental inquiry.The author believes that the ability to develop students’ hands through experimental exploration is different from the promotion of STEM education to students’ engineering technology concepts and the training of technical skills.Judging from the current situation in foreign countries,in the K-12 physics education,the United States attaches great importance to students’ theoretical knowledge learning and penetration of STEM concepts.Other developed countries also attach importance to the development of students in the STEM field.In China,engineering education is still dominated by vocational education.The problem of disjointed science and engineering education has also emerged in higher education.Even in the daily physics teaching in ordinary high school and compulsory education,there is little to do with the STEM field.education.Therefore,the author combined with the theoretical research of the literature expects teachers to infiltrate junior high school students with STEM education in the daily physics of junior middle school.In addition,the author compares the combination of theoretical knowledge and related content in the STEM field between Su Ke and PEP textbooks,and finds that the content of the two versions of the textbook contains materials that embody the concept of STEM education and can provide teachers with daily lessons.Teaching to enlighten students on the idea ofengineering technology.However,in the process of teaching,junior high school teachers often pay more attention to the teaching of physical knowledge(S)and mathematics method(M),while ignoring the originally hidden engineering(E)technology(T)concept.In addition,the teaching materials for the presentation of engineering technology content and modules can all make the abstract concept of physics closer to life,thereby stimulating students’ interest in learning theoretical knowledge.The author believes that the enrichment of engineering materials in these teaching materials into the classroom teaching of STEM education for students in order to achieve a higher degree of student participation in the classroom,to achieve the goal of integration of STEM education.Secondly,in this study,the author analyzes the curriculum standards and finds that the engineering and technical concepts included in STEM education are in line with the teaching objectives of vocational education in cultivating students’ operational skills.Combining the characteristics of physics disciplines and the situation of junior high school,the author advocates that students should learn physics knowledge in "playing" to cultivate engineering thinking,consolidate physical knowledge in "doing" and infiltrate skills training,and apply physics knowledge in "design" to cultivate practical solutions.The problem-ability teaching strategies,under the guidance of the concept of combining STEM education with theoretical knowledge and engineering technology,use the setting of game activities,production activities,and other teaching activities to cultivate students’ engineering literacy.At the same time,according to the design teaching strategy,the author chooses from the Su Ke textbooks the"Sound is what","Plane Mirror" and other eight sections to carry out the classroom teaching design incorporating the STEM education concept in knowledge learning.The author finds that incorporating STEM education concepts in junior high school physics teaching can not only enhance students’ interest in learning physics knowledge,but also help strengthen the training of students’thinking methods,innovation skills,and technical skills.Due to the limitation of objective conditions,the author only carried out the practice of classroom teaching on one of the teaching cases,"floating and sinking of objects," and introspected the teaching process.Finally,the author summarizes the whole research process of the subject and hopes that based on the above analysis of the teaching case design incorporating the STEM education concept,it can provide a new perspective for classroom teaching for first-line junior high school physics teachers.
