China's new round of basic education reform(2010-2020)clearly states that "adhering to people-oriented and promoting quality education " is the strategic theme of China's education reform and development.It is necessary to focus on improving students ' practical ability to solve problems and the courage to explore and innovate.STEM is the abbreviation for Science,Technology,Engineering and Mathematics.It is a comprehensive interdisciplinary education that emphasizes the practicality and experience of the education process.This article starts with the concept of STEM education,explores the integration of STEM education and physics teaching from the perspective of theoretical analysis,and verifies whether it can achieve the expected teaching effect from the perspective of classroom implementation.Therefore,this article is mainly developed from the following aspects:The first part is the theoretical research of STEM education.By sorting out and summarizing the current status of STEM education research at home and abroad,the STEM education and teaching model,and the status of the integration of STEM education and physics teaching at home and abroad.Finding out the existing problems of STEM research in China,clarifying the relevant concepts of STEM education,and further summarizing and analyzing the theoretical basis of this article as the theoretical support for subsequent research.The second part of the junior high school physics classroom teaching design under the STEM education concept,based on the STEM education concept,analyzes and summarizes the design principles and design methods of the junior high school physics classroom teaching design in accordance with China's STEM concept,and designs a specific teaching case.The third part are the implementation of the junior middle school physics classroom teaching under the STEM education concepts.Based on the teaching implementation requirements of the teaching case of " production of automatic water level alarm ",the author carried out the classroom implementation in a school in Jilin City,Jilin Province.Based on the methods of classroom observation and interview,this paper summarizes and analyzes the practical effects of junior middle school physics classroom teaching under STEM education concepts and gives teaching suggestions.Studies have shown that incorporating STEM education concepts into junior high school physics teaching can not only improve students ' learning interest,cultivate students ' practical ability and scientific inquiry ability,but also promote students 'understanding of physical science knowledge and promote the overall development of students.
