Since the industrial revolution,human beings have enjoyed unprecedented economic benefits,but they have also suffered from unprecedented ecological and environmental problems.The destruction of the ecological environment has aroused widespread concern.People have turned their hopes of settlement into history to study the history of ecology and the environment.Since the mid-1990 s,ecological historiography has become a hot topic in China.Archaeologists,paleontologists,historical geologists,climatologists,and agroforestry scholars have all done a lot of work to make it mature and become a hot area.As an interdisciplinary new history,ecological history has opened up a new way of historical research,and it has been introduced into history teaching in middle schools.It is an unavoidable trend.In today's middle school history teaching,the application of ecological history in the classroom is still shallow.Taking a middle school in Dalian as an example,the application of ecological historiography in the history class of high school was investigated through questionnaires and interviews.Teachers' understanding of the concept of ecological history is relatively ambiguous and cannot introduce ecological history into the classroom.However,with the tendencies of the propositions of the college entrance examinations in recent years tend to be political and environmental,teachers also hope to receive relevant training to optimize teaching.High school students have a strong interest in environmental issues and are active in the acceptance of ecological history.They hope that teachers can learn in the classroom or through school-based lessons.The introduction of ecological history into the history classroom is determined by the contents of the history curriculum standards.Students' exposure to ecological history can cultivate correct values,enhance their ability to adapt to the environment,and establish lofty ideals.In the classroom,history teachers must implement the content or learning methods of ecological history when teaching appropriate content.They can conduct teaching through pre-class introduction and historical materials enumeration.Students learn through self-study and group discussions to achieve teaching goals.After class,teachers should reflect on it in a timely manner.In order to implement ecological history in high school history classrooms,history teachers also put forward some requirements: First,to change the teaching philosophy,we must not only change theunderstanding of the subject of learning,but also change the teaching design.The second is to improve their own quality,lifelong learning,advancing with the times,and timely grasp of new historical content,teaching methods.Third,we should grasp the objectives of the curriculum,the content of the textbooks in each edition,and organize the teaching cases related to ecological history so that ecological history can be better applied in the high school classroom.
