This text studies the applicability and usefulness of "the sports game teaching" in the athletic teaching . The methodology is to compare the pretest and posttest data that is collected before and after the 4-month use of sports game teaching in the athletic teaching. The object of this researcher were 108 junior high school girls. The aim is to study the different effects of the two distinct teaching methods on junior high school girls' mental health, the different influence of the body ego concept and physiology health, in order to reform and perfect the athletics teaching of the school. The research shows:(1)"The sports game teaching" can availably increase the junior high school girls' mental health and ego concepts of their own bodies, but the traditional athletics teaching is not benificial to maintain and promote the development of the junior high school girls' mental health. (2)An important agential mechanism of "The sports game teaching" which can promote junior high school girls' mental health is that the athletics teaching increases the junior high school girls' physical self-concept level ;Namely, the body ego concept is the middle change quantity of the athletics game teaching which can promote mental healthy development of student. (3) "The sports game teaching" can promote the development of the physiology health of junior high school girls, the girls' bodies of experiment class had obvious improvement, the ability which took part in the sports had made rapid progress. (4)The approbation degree to "the sports game teaching" of junior high school girls' is very high, they all enjoyed to take part in the athletics game teaching. (5)For 13—15 years old junior high school girls, the sport item which interests them should be the main part in class; collective practice should be treated as principle sport type, the athletic teaching or activity in pleasant and harmonious environment can improve their mental appearance effectively, which is worthy of expansion and usage.
