This dissertation is based on the current background of Chinese education,combined with the investigation of the ancient Chinese poetry teaching in junior high school,and discussing the problems existing in ancient poetry teaching.At the same time,it proposes ways and methods of improving ancient poetry teaching,trying to provide useful reference for teaching ancient Chinese poems in junior middle schools.With the continuous progress of the new curriculum reform,“Key Competencies" have gradually become a hot topic in the education sector.The ancient Chinese poetry is closely related to the “Key Competencies”.In combination with the Chinese language discipline,the key Competencies of Chinese language can better reflect the ancient Chinese poetry's shaping of human language,thinking,aesthetics,and culture.Therefore,this article carries out an in-depth investigation and research on the teaching of ancient poetry in the view of core accomplishment,and finds that there are still some deficiencies in the current status of ancient poetry teaching.For example,the current teaching of ancient poetry cannot arouse students' interest;and it is difficult to penetrate the spirit of poetry and it has the problem of separation from key Competencies.The current situation reflects the existing problems in education,including education systems,teachers,and students.On the basis of rational thinking,this paper analyzes the causes of this and combines the language,thinking,aesthetics,and culture of the key Competencies of Chinese language.This paper proposes ways to improve ancient poetry teaching,including language appreciation in reciting,exercising the thinking in the imagination,improving the aesthetics in the evaluation,and internalizing the culture in the realization.It contains some specific and practical teaching methods for use and improvement in specific class teaching practices.In addition,this paper also emphasizes the combination of ancient poetry with characteristic teaching and activities in school-based curriculum and extra-curricular activities,and starts from multiple dimensions to effectively improve the teaching status of ancient poetry.This will inevitably enlighten the junior high school Chinese teachers,and it will also be of great help to the junior high school language ancient poetry teaching.
