The Geography Curriculum Standard of general Senior Middle School in 2017 clearly puts forward four core elements of geography,which are view of coordination,the comprehensive thinking,the regional cognition and geographic practice.These four geographic core elements are the correct concept of values,essential qualities,and key abilities that students gradually formed through the study of geography.Among them,comprehensive thinking is the basic thinking method of geography,and it is also an important way to cultivate other geographical core qualities.However,most of geography teachers,at present,lack systematic understanding for comprehensive geographical thinking and the scientific and effective guidance to the path of comprehensive thinking for students,which results in the training process of students’ comprehensive thinking is still in a state of subconsciousness.Therefore,this paper makes a statistical analysis of the 15 sets of test papers of the national new curriculum scale for senior high school geography over the past five years by taking the methods of literature research,text research,rewind investigation and action research.The study is designed to find out students’ existing problems to implement the corresponding training path by taking comprehensive thinking test and field survey.This paper is divided into five parts as follows.The first part is the introduction,which includes the background,significance,status,purpose,method and content of the research.The second part is about the conceptual analysis of geographical comprehensive thinking.The third part is the emphasis of this paper,which involves the analysis of the content of the comprehensive thinking in the sample test,which includes five aspects: the distribution of the score,the presentation of the material,the setting of the problem,the dimension of the examination and the requirement for the examination.This part summarize the main examination characteristics of comprehensive thinking from multiple perspectives,such as material presentation,material selection background,examination proportion,examination dimension,examination mode and investigation skills.The fourth part are to acknowledge the problem of students’ comprehensive thinking through taking mind quiz and doing questionnaire analysis.The fifth part is to put forward three cultivation paths of comprehensive thinking by combining relevant learning theory: multi-ways to improve integrative thinking,graphical transformation to promote spatiotemporal comprehensive thinking and anchored instruction to improve local comprehensive thinking.In addition,this part also complements the learning method that runs through the three paths.This paper researches a core accomplishment based on analyzing many years’ college entrance examination,and it explores the ways to promote the comprehensive thinking accomplishment for a long term,hence it has significant reference on geography teachers cultivating students’ comprehensive thinking.
