The new requirements are put forward for education in this new era.In order to implement the new development philosophy of senior high school education,it is very important that teachers should lay emphasis on the cultivation of students’ core literacy.In the core literacy of physics,it is scientific thinking that occupies an important position,especially for Grade 1 students in senior high who stay transition period from image thinking to abstract thinking.The author used literature research method and sorted out the relevant researches of domestic and foreign experts and scholars on scientific thinking and the cultivation of scientific thinking ability,which determined the subject content and methods as well as defined scientific thinking and other related concepts in this thesis.According to the stratification standard of scientific thinking in "Physics Curriculum Standards of General High School(2017 Edition 2020 Revision)" and combining with the structural model of physical science thinking ability proposed by Professor Hu Wei ping,the author formulated the measurement indexes of physical science thinking ability.Questionnaires were used to know the scientific thinking development level of Grade 1 students in senior high from five middle schools in four cities.The author compared the level of scientific thinking ability of students of different genders and analyzed the correlation between gender and scientific thinking ability.At the same time,front-line physics teachers of different years of teaching and different title were interviewed to investigate their views,effective ways and difficulties on scientific thinking.Guided by the constructivism theory and unlearning theory,according to recent studies,for the procedures and characteristics of physical concepts teaching,law teaching,experiment teaching and exercise teaching,and for the angle of the ability of model construction,scientific reasoning ability,the ability of scientific argumentation,the ability of questions about innovation,the author came up with instructional strategies of cultivating scientific thinking ability for Grade 1 students in senior high.The strategies include helping students to take the initiative to forget,combining with the history of physics,using modern educational technology;through exercise variant.Take the chapter“Relationship between Motion and Force” in the 2019 PEP version high school physics book 1(compulsory)for example,the author completed the teaching design for “Newton first law” and “application of Newton’s law of motion”,applied to teaching practice of“overweight and weightlessness”.Through classroom observation strategies are effective for the cultivation of scientific thinking ability of Grade 1 students in senior high.
