Tremendous developing opportunities have been brought to international schools in Xi'an because of the increasing status of China all over the world,the popularity of the Chinese Language and the superiority of Xi'an's geographical location.However,the young age and the liveliness of nature of Chinese learners,as well as the blending of cultural backgrounds in international school have led to a variety of students' behaviors during class,which has seriously hindered the normal teaching process.In order to improve the classroom management and the effectiveness of classroom teaching for children,this thesis takes the example of Xi'an Hanova International School,combining the study method of classroom observation and post-class interviews to comprehensively analyze primary students' behaviors in Chinese class.From the survey,the author summed up the classifications and features of the students' problem classroom behaviors.Also,the author pointed out the reasons that can easily cause the problem behaviors from the aspect of teachers,students,environment and culture.Correspondingly,effective classroom management strategies for primary years class are provided from the aspect of teachers,students,environment and culture to offer reference for the classroom management of children's Chinese language teaching.The introduction of this thesis introduced the reason and significance of the topic selection,current research status at home and abroad,research objects and methods.The first part of the thesis is a brief introduction of Xi'an Hanova International School,and introduced the school's native and non-native Chinese class from the aspect of teaching idea,teaching material,teaching content and teaching evaluation.The second chapter mainly analyzed the current situation,classification and features of the problem behaviors of the primary Chinese department in Xi'an Hanova International School.The author classified the problem behaviors as three types:severely disturbed,moderately disturbed and mildly concealed.According to the problem behaviors in class,the author studied the factors that may cause the problem behaviors from the perspective of teacher,student,external environment and cross-culture.Finally,based on the research foundations of the first three chapters,the author provided some effective classroom management strategies for Xi'an Hanova International School,as well as providing references and helping the teachers and interns to manage the class in Hanova School.Classroom management is an important part of Chinese teaching.The author hopes this thesis,which takes the example of Xi'an Hanova International School in primary years' Chinese teaching,could be helpful for the other classroom management in children's Chinese teaching.
