Chinese language education in Indonesia is of long standing and its classroomteaching has made outstanding achievement. But, with the development of globalChinese language education, it’s facing with great challenge too. Instructional Design,hereinafter referred to as ID, is a blueprint of teaching behavior. With scientific approachand draw on Indonesian Chinese language education experience, ID is of greatsignificance for improving Chinese language teaching efficiency and teaching effect.However, there has been little research on Chinese language classroom teaching ID,which is based on the characteristics of Chinese Indonesian kids under Indonesian localconditions. Besides, local Chinese teachers are lack of scientific and reasonable IDawareness. The purpose of this study is to construct an ID model for Chinese languageclassroom teaching to improve the current Chinese language classroom teaching inIndonesian Chinese School.This thesis focuses on improving the pertinence and validity of Chinese languageclassroom teaching, the main body of it goes like this: First, introducing the background,purpose and significance, content and methods of the thesis, summarizing currentresearch, making the investigation of the present situation of Chinese language classroomteaching in Indonesia. Then, on the basis of related theories of Child Psychology,Pedagogy and the theories of the second language learning, the thesis builds a new modelof Indonesian Chinese classroom teaching ID. Given that, the thesis presents the up-frontanalysis, explains the features and principles of this ID and instructs how to evaluate theID. At last, the thesis presents a specific and detailed classroom ID on Grandma treatedus to a Chinese meal, the8th lesson of Chinese3.
