China is the biggest trading partner of Australia,in recent years, the number of people learning Chinese in Australia grows rapidly, and there is a trend that there will be more and more young people are going to learn Chinese,so lots of international Chinese Volunteer Teachers are sent to Australia every year to help teach Chinese. And in this paper, taking the kids aged from 5 to 10 years in Mandarin class in St Mark's Anglican Community School as an example, the author adopts methods of questionnaires, classroom observation, interviews, and found that most interviewed volunteer teachers facing class management problems in the kids'class, they did not know how to solve it effectively. With insufficient understanding of the class management rules and ways in Australia, international Chinese Volunteer Teachers adopt the class management rules from China, often fail to get a satisfactory class management result.According to the survey, the kids'main misbehaviors include talking in class, not focusing and sharing with others, being disruptive, having a tantrum and hitting another child. The reasons behind these misbehaviors stem from the different cultures and different pedagogical notions when the green hands are faced with the different teaching objects, the different position of teachers, and different classroom management concepts. In the end,in order to help solve these misbehaviors effectively, the author used case analysis to show some coping strategies, including create a positive and safe teaching environment, using positive behavior replacement to replace misbehaviors, and dealing with kids'pressure properly. It is hoped that this paper can provide some practical reference and enlightenment for International Chinese Volunteer Teachers or new teachers who will teach the kids in Australia in the future.
