The new compulsory education stage mathematics curriculum standards promulgated in 2011 made adjustments and improvements to the "integration and practice" module,emphasizing the equal status of "integration and practice" in primary school mathematics courses and other modules,showing that China's primary school stage The application of students' mathematics knowledge and the importance of students' comprehensive ability development.However,according to the implementation situation in recent years,elementary mathematics "comprehensive and practical" activity module teaching has not been fully implemented,there are many implementation issues.The introduction of STEM education opens a new window for the implementation of quality education in China.Mathematics,as the foundation of natural sciences and technical sciences,has played an important role in modern science and engineering technology.In elementary school,students are trained to establish correct mathematical concepts,to understand the close relationship between mathematics and other disciplines,and to cultivate students' comprehensive use of knowledge.The ability to solve problems and so on,STEM education concept and primary school mathematics "synthesis and practice" there are commonalities.This study seeks to apply the STEM concept to primary school mathematics “comprehensive and practical” activities and design primary mathematics “comprehensive and practical” activity cases based on the STEM concept to provide a new perspective for the implementation of primary mathematics “comprehensive and practical” teaching.Based on the premise of cultivating students' STEM literacy,this dissertation is guided by the mathematics curriculum standards of compulsory education,and uses questionnaires and interviews to study and understand the students' learning situation and teacher's teaching situation in the "comprehensive and practical" module of mathematics.Find out the problems existing in the process of teaching implementation and design cases of teaching activities as a reference,finally make suggestions.This paper is divided into six parts: The first part is the introduction,which mainly describes the research background,research purpose and significance as well as the research status at home and abroad.The second part is conceptual definition and theoretical basis,and discusses the research methods and research ideas.The third part is about the status and analysis of the primary school mathematics "comprehensive and practical" teaching survey,mainly through questionnaires and interviews to understand the status of primary school mathematics "integration and practice" teaching and teacher teaching.In the fourth part,aiming at the problems existing in the implementation of "comprehensive and practical" mathematics in primary school,the design framework of "comprehensive and practical" activities in primary school mathematics based on the concept of STEM is designed.In the fifth part,based on the activity design framework,the “parachute airdrop mission” and “Pasta Marshmallow Challenge” are the subjects to design teaching cases.In the sixth part,some suggestions are put forward in the light of the present situation of the implementation of the teaching of "comprehensive and practical" module in elementary mathematics in our country.
