With the ever-changing science and technology,new knowledge,and increasingly blurred discipline boundaries,the era of knowledge economy has come quietly.In order to meet the challenges of the knowledge economy,we must constantly update old concepts,learn new knowledge,and develop capabilities to adapt to change.As a new way of learning,adult cross-border learning comes into being in accordance with the development of the times.It plays an important role in the development of adults' innovative thinking and ability.However,due to the lack of understanding of adult cross-border learning,and due to the lack of practical experience in China,the promotion of cross-border learning for adults has been slow.The purpose of this paper is to enrich the theoretical research and promote the practice of adult cross-border learning by studying the essential connotation,unique value and basic strategies of adult cross-border learning.Firstly,combined with the current social situation,this paper discusses the reasons of selecting the topic and the significance of the research,reviews and summarizes the related research,clearly clarifies the purpose of this study,establishes the starting point of this study.Secondly,it introduces the essential connotation of adult learning and cross-border learning.It also makes an appropriate analysis of adult cross-border learning.In addition,the characteristics of adult cross-border learning have been described accordingly.Thirdly,it explains the theoretical basis of adult cross-border learning,including the third space theory and the horizontal thinking theory.Fourthly,the unique value of adult cross-border learning has been excavated,including expanding the field of adult students' existence;inducing deeper experience of adult students;inspiring the adult students' innovative thinking;improving the adult students' problem-solving ability;speeding up the socialization of adult students.Fifthly,based on the above research,this paper puts forward the basic strategies of adult cross-border learning from the internal and external aspects,hoping to provide a little help for the smooth development of adult cross-border learning.Finally,taking the cross-border learning of teachers in the Shouguang Vocational Education Center as a typical case,the paper briefly describes the cross-border learning behavior of the teachers of Shouguang Vocational Education Center who learned Lenovo's talent cultivation experience.And it also introduces a series of safeguard measures taken by the school to ensure the smooth development of cross-border learning.
