Throughout the development of Chinese teaching materials in recent years,there have been many editions of Chinese teaching books,such as the PEP edition,the cantonese version and the Jiangsu Education-edition.As a whole,the compilation and selection of Chinese modern and contemporary prose has been innovating,and the construction of teaching materials has made great progress.However,there are some limitations,such as the conservative selection of prose,the uneven distribution of the selected articles and the comparison of the selection of materials to the modern.The limitations of Chinese modern and contemporary prose also affects students' interest in learning and their ability to accept,besides,due to the influence of education,some students and teachers have not paid enough attention to the prose teaching.In order to make the arrangement of Chinese modem and contemporary prose works in accordance with the new curriculum standards,more conducive to the students' learning,this paper tries to comparative study of modern and contemporary prose material from different modern and contemporary prose editions.In this paper,the author choose the PEP edition and the GEP edition to compare and study.After the read of literature,this paper compared the difference in the amount of article,type of material,editorial content and the orchestration organizational.Then analysis the difference through the column chart,compare and survey,this paper studies the advantages and disadvantages versions in prose,and then study the limitations of writing,At last,this paper combined with the actual situation of teachers and students put forward some suggestions for Chinese modern and contemporary prose writing.this paper has certain reference significance on the research of contemporary prose and similar studies.
