Under the latest request of New Course Reform,it is only way for the schools'development to promote teaching reform and develop high-efficient class.However,teaching reform in many schools has been in a state of struggling in general.School should reflect deeply and think over in depth from itself to explore a new road of reform fitting with itself.School culture is a belief model which gathers people together,functioning as a guidance,cohesion and restraint to people.Thus,healthy school culture will facilitate teaching reform in a positive way.This study sets LD Middle School as case study,which analyzes the characteristics of school culture in the teaching reform of LD Middle School from the positive and negative aspects by means of questionnaire,observation,conversation and document study.The study shows that innovative management culture,teacher culture of being dependable and professional as well as abundant and unique material culture will promote teaching reform positively.However,stereotyped exam culture,strong executive culture,conservative teacher culture,system culture of aphasia and lack of professional culture will hinder reform negatively.Based on above,the author will offer some suggestions on how to re-build school culture and deepen teaching reform.Firstly,management concept of managers and teaching concept of teachers should be reformed.Then,create a kind of material culture typical of the school's unique personality.Positive and sound mental culture should be developed,which includes establishing common expectation of running a school and paying attention to making the incentive function of rite and ceremony come into play.A scientific and democratic system culture should be developed.The system is set up based on democracy,which should be scientific and reasonable in essence.The system should be applied in a fair and open way.Finally,a standard and polybasic behavior culture is created containing open and harmonious teacher's behavior culture along with active and prosperous students community culture.
