Volunteer service is an important symbol of the progress of social civilization and national modernity.With the growth of volunteer teams and the rapid development of volunteer services,volunteer management has become an important factor in the development of volunteer services.However,at present,the management of volunteers has not yet reached the standardization management and there are many problems that need to be addressed in the direction of standardization and specialization.This article uses the literature method,observation method,and interview method,and uses three social organizations in Nanjing as the main research object to combine interview data,focusing on five aspects of volunteer management:the status of volunteer management personnel,the professional development of volunteer management,and volunteers.The growth and development of volunteer services,team building of volunteer management,and volunteer management methods are used to collect and analyze volunteer management data.Existing studies have shown that the current environment managed by volunteers forms and influences the management of current volunteers.First,the article analyzes the differences in the management environment of volunteers at home and abroad.Then,volunteer management was classified from the theoretical level and the practical operation level.Based on the classification of volunteer management,the article focuses on the analysis of the current problems in the management of volunteers from the perspective of social work.The volunteers have low levels of professional competence,lack of professional strength,and lack of self-development support,and lack of systematic team building.The operability and implementation of volunteer management methods are not in place.Finally,we advocate social work in volunteer management:Accelerate the construction of professional social work talents,broaden funding support for volunteer services,advocate voluntary cultural development,and formulate and implement management policies;implement volunteer and managerial capabilities under social work methods.Construction:Social work provides training and supervision support for volunteers and managers,systematic construction of volunteer teams;application of social work skills for volunteer management practices:strengthening awareness of demand research in volunteer services,increasing volunteer management Three aspects of social work evaluation,improvement of volunteer recruitment,motivation,and exit mechanisms analyze the countermeasures for social work involvement in volunteer management.The problems in the management of volunteers summarized in the article and the proposed countermeasures have general characteristics.In the practice of volunteer management,the staff should be flexible according to the actual situation,and ultimately achieve the purpose of improving the science of volunteer management and promoting the sustainable and healthy development of volunteer services.
