| With the deepening of the policy of reform and opening up,China’s economy has developed rapidly,the urbanization has been accelerating,the form of cities is changing,the scale is gradually expanding,and the appearance and mode of production between the cities and the countryside have become more and more different.A large number of rural population are moving to cities for better infrastructure,more job opportunities and higher income,and most of them bring in their families,the trailing spouse and children,at the same time.The education situation of children of migrant workers has drawn great attention of the government,and also becomes one of the focus of the scholars and the whole society.Therefore,in recent 30 years,our government has introduced a series of relevent policies and rules to guarantee that children of the migrant workers receive the same right of education in the city,which has alliveated the difficulty of finding a school for the children for part of the migrant workers.However,with the deepening of reform of household registration system and people’s growing needs for material progress and cultural ideological progress nowadays,it has become an inevitable trend to pursue the fairness,high quality and people-satisifying education.In this new era,it is essential to solve the education problem for the children of migrant workers,as well as sovling some practical and subtle problems that appear when implementing the current policies.In this essay,firstly it defines the concept of compulsory education problem of children of the migrant workers,and states the comprehensive understanding of the research status both home and abroad.Then it studies the condition of compulsory education of children of the migrant workers in our country and the current policy,to find the direction and focus of the research.Then it selects some schools in Wuhou distric,Chengdu,which has a large amount of migrant workers’ children and has solved the problem very well,as examples to do the case study and the analysis of current policy effect in Chengdu.It doesn’t just limit to the district level,but finds out the problems in current policy,resource supply and need,family education and school education through the cases,analysis of policy and refining of the experience,and then provide methods and suggestions on policy researching,education resource and family education value developmenting,to provide reference to better the education situation of children of the migrant workers in cities. |
