With the rapid development of social economy,the traditional physical education teaching mode of university public sports is gradually difficult to adapt to the development of college students’ personality and the needs of college students’ lifelong sports development.How to face all students in the elective course teaching of public sports in colleges and universities can reflect the principle of “student-oriented,student-centered”.Implementing effective physical education teaching methods and models is according to individual differences among students and students have ability to complete the learning tasks and goals in physical education,which are some of the problems facing the current college sports reform.This study takes "contract learning method" as the core,through its own teaching as practice,and combines "contract learning method" with college public sports basketball for in-depth research.The experimental method is used to verify the impacts of "contract learning method" in college public sports basketball class.This paper analyzes the research by means of literature,questionnaire,mathematical statistics,interviews and experimental methods.From the public physical education class of Shanghai Normal University,(one control class and one experimental class)were selected as the experimental subjects for teaching experiments from 40 classes.Before the experiment,the relevant indicators of the two basketball elective students were tested and analyzed.The teaching experiment of the “contract learning method” was carried out without significant difference between the two classes.The students in the two classes lasted for one semester,and the progress and content of the two classes were consistent.The students in the control class are taught by traditional teaching methods,and the students in the experimental class,however,are taught by “contract learning method”.Through the analysis and comparison of experimental data,it is concluded that the effect of "contract learning method" on the teaching of public basketball in colleges and universities is as follows: 1.The contract learning method can better teach students in accordance with their aptitude,and can better reflect the concept of individualized development of college students’ sports.2.Through the use of contract learning,the physical quality of students in the experimental class has been effectively improved.3.Through the use of traditional teaching methods and contract learning methods,the improvement of students’ basketball skills is promoted,but the overall basketball skills of the experimental class using the contract learning method are better.4.The use of the contract learning method promotes the interaction between teachers and students and strengthens the communication and cooperation between students.5 After a semester of experiments,the students’ interest in physical education in the experimental class has been significantly improved,which has had a positive impact on the cultivation of students’ lifelong physical exercise.
