History textbooks in junior middle schools always focus on both pictures and texts.Illustrations,as an organic part of teaching content,have been paid great attention to and changed with the continuous updating of textbooks.In the second half of 2016,the state launched the edition of junior high school history textbook,which contains a variety of illustrations and a large number of important picture materials.On the basis of the practice of history teaching in junior middle school and the research results of predecessors,this paper takes the ancient history part of the history textbook edited by the Ministry,that is,the seventh grade Chinese history as an example to discuss the meaning and classification of textbook illustrations,the importance of illustrations,the application principles and Strategies of illustrations.In addition to the introduction and summary,the article has four main chapters.The first chapter is about the meaning and classification of illustrations in junior middle school history textbooks compiled by the Ministry.This chapter mainly defines the meaning of illustrations in history textbooks,and divides the illustrations in edited textbooks into five categories: historical relics,historical figures,historical maps,historical scenes and historical sketches.The second chapter is about the importance of illustrations in junior middle school history textbooks compiled by the Ministry.This chapter analyses the importance of illustrations in junior middle school history textbooks from four aspects:stimulating students' interest,cultivating students' various abilities,strengthening students' moral education and cultivating students' aesthetic consciousness.Chapter Three is the principles of illustrations in the history textbooks of junior middle schools compiled by the Ministry.There are a lot of illustrations in textbooks compiled by the Ministry.Teachers should follow the principles of selectivity,objectivity and appropriateness when using illustrations.Chapter Four is the strategy of illustrations in the history textbook of junior middle school compiled by the Ministry.On the basis of following the above principles,this paper discusses the application strategies of illustrations through practical teaching cases,including the introduction of illustrations to increase classroom interest;the analogy of illustrations to strengthen knowledge memory;the combination of pictures and texts to break through key and difficult points;and the rational creation of situations to enrich teaching content.
