In the autumn of 2019,six provinces and cities including Beijing and Shandong began to trial the unified edition of the high school history textbook "Chinese and Foreign History Outline(Part 1)".This version of the textbook adopts the "general history" compilation style,establishes a rigorous historical discipline system,and fully embodies the characteristics of systemicity and scientificity.As an auxiliary system for textbooks,illustrations complement the content of the main text.They are an important resource for effective teaching,and they are also scientific.In addition,compared with the previous editions such as the Yuelu edition and the People's Education edition,the selection of illustrations in the unified edition textbook also pays more attention to the core literacy-oriented,and pays more attention to the cutting-edge achievements of history.Therefore,in the background of the basic education reform,focusing on the research on the application of illustrations in the unified edition of high school history textbooks not only reflects the requirements for the implementation of the core literacy of the history subject,but also meets the needs of high school students' thinking development,in order to achieve The transition from "history teaching" to "historical education" is truly "people-oriented".The starting point of illustration application research is classification research.Based on the function of illustrations,it can be divided into five types: historical maps,historical events section maps,historical relic maps,historical figures,historical charts and schematic diagrams.And these types of illustrations have the functions of stimulating students' learning motivation,conveying historical information,and presenting historical details.Teachers should explore the application strategies of illustrations from multiple angles.On the one hand,teachers can start from the types of illustrations,analyze the historical information contained in different types of illustrations,and elaborate on the application strategies of different types of illustrations;on the other hand,teachers can start with classroom teaching and analyze the application of illustrations in different teaching links.The author also combines theoretical analysis with teaching cases,and uses illustrations as the basis to teach the unified edition of the high school history textbook "Chinese and Foreign History Outline(Part I)",Unit 5,Lesson 17 "Exploration of the Way Out of the Country and Increasing Powers' Aggression" Designed to help readers more clearly understand the application methods of textbook illustrations in different teaching links,so as to understand the important role of the application of illustrations in promoting the change of teaching methods and promoting the development of students' thinking.Only by comprehensively analyzing the historical information contained in the illustrations and accurately applying them in different teaching links can the use value of illustrations be maximized,making them an important teaching resource for cultivating students' core literacy in history subjects,and better promotion The teaching practice of the unified edition high school history textbook.
