Annotations is an important part of Chinese teaching materials,which can provide greater supports for the teaching and learning.This paper takes the modern text annotations in the textbook of Chinese compulsory education,published by the People's Education Press and prepared by the Ministry of Education(here call it as "the unified textbook ")as the research object,hope it can help the study of modern text annotations.This paper studies three aspects,such as the basic situation,existing problems and optimization of the modern annotations in unified textbook,and the thinking on the rationalization of the use of modern annotations in the teaching and learning of teachers and students.Through the collation of the annotations of modern text in the textbook,it is found that there are 1611 annotations in the unified textbook,among which there are 759 annotations of modern text,and 852 annotations of the text and ancient poems.In the number of annotations,the modern text is obviously lower than that of the text and ancient poems,which contrasts with the phenomenon that modern text accounts for more in teaching materials.In the type of annotations,the textbook has little change compared with other teaching materials,and the annotations of modern text can be summed up into four categories,such as topic annotations,word annotations,citation interpretation and proper noun interpretation.At the same time,the author found that the compilation of this textbook in the preparation compared with other teaching materials have a great progress,but the annotations of its modern text is still have a little flaw,the specific performance of the interpretation is not allowed,repetitive disorder,different formats and complex and redundant.Therefore,it is suggested that when compiling teaching materials,we should take into account the characteristics of students,follow the principle of annotations and clearly write standards in order to improve the annotations of modern text in teaching materials.Finally,this paper makes a reflection on the rationalization of the use of modern annotations in teaching and learning from two angles,students must pay attention to the background role of modern annotations in learning,cultivate the ability and habit of self-study with the help of annotations,and be willing to explore the annotations in teaching materials.Teachers should treat "teaching" and "self-reading" differently in teaching,actively develop and utilize the teaching support provided by the annotations.Through the writing of this article,hope can arouse the majority of teachers and students and textbook editors to the teaching materials in the modern annotations,better promote the rationalization of the preparation of Chinese teaching materials and the quality of Chinese education.
