The application of writing strategies is helpful to improve students' writing skills.At present,domestic and foreign research on writing strategies is gradually deepening,with new findings in different fields.However,there are few studies on the application of writing strategies in middle and senior school students.After a careful reading of the existing research results,it is not hard to find that theoretical research is relatively abundant,while empirical research is rare.In the writing class,teachers usually only focus on the students' final works,but ignore the strategies that students use in the writing process.This can not help but make people think,what are the characteristics of the senior and middle school students using writing strategies?Why do some writing strategies teachers think are effective,but students have a lower level of use?How to improve the application of writing strategies of middle and senior school students?This study is under the guidance of previous research results,taking middle and senior school students as the research object.Through the methods of literature research,interview and questionnaire,this paper investigates the application of writing strategies of middle and senior school students.Based on the analysis of the characteristics,difficulties and reasons of writing strategies used by middle and senior school students,practical teaching suggestions are put forward to improve the application of writing strategies of middle and senior school students.It is found that the overall application level of writing strategies of middle and senior school students is medium,the application of writing strategies is polarized,the application of writing strategies is gender difference,the application of retelling strategies is not effective,the frequency of revising and improving strategies is high but the effect is low.To this,the author analyzes the causes from three aspects:students themselves,parents and teachers.The author believes that teachers can improve the writing strategies of middle and senior school students mainly by enhancing their self-efficacy in writing,strengthening the guidance on the use of writing strategies of students in different writing links and reasonably dividing writing groups.
