| Cockrum is a high school mother language teacher in Indianapolis,Indiana,USA.He is a core member of the flipped learning network and the host of the flipped learning podcast.Since 2010,Cockrum has been carrying out the high school mother language flipped teaching experiment.The biggest advantage of flipped teaching is that it can easily individualize,treat students differently,give guidance,and have more interaction with each student.More and more teachers have joined the team and more students have benefited from it.The teaching design of Cockrum and his team members,such as poetry"Maggy,Milly,Molly.and May"flipped reading teaching design,novel"Exposition in roll of thunder,here my cry"fliped reading teaching design,"sonnet wr" fliped writing teaching design,"How can a source be reliable" flipped writing teaching design,not only embodies the basic idea of flipped teaching,but also contains the scientific spirits.The scientific spirits of Cockrum’s teaching design are mainly embodied in four aspects:first,it embodies the consistent teaching strategy.Its teaching goal and content standards are highly consistent,based on teaching evaluation design retroactively teaching activities.Second,follow the psychology of mother language learning.The teaching of reading and writing embodies the relationship between self and others,and develops students’metacognitive ability in reading and writing activities.Third,pay attention to cultivating the rational spirit of students.Attention should be paid to cultivating critical reading ability and their ability to write academic essays.Fourth,Cockrum’s teaching design focuses on cultivating media literacy.Its media literacy education and reading and writing teaching achieved a high degree of integration.Cockrum’s flipped teaching design of reading and writing has brought us important enlightenment.First of all,based on the curriculum standards design consistent teaching plan.We should build relatively clear content standards.The teaching target and the teaching evaluation should be consistent with the content standards.Secondly,Chinese teaching should be based on psychology.We should balance the relationship between teaching reading and self-reading,find a balance between teaching personality and learning personality,and pay attention to cultivating metacognitive ability.Thirdly,we should cultivate new rational spirits.New rational spirits include practice spirit,logic spirit,inquiry spirit,critical spirit and citizen spirit.Finally,we should focus on cultivating media literacy.Do a good job of top-level design of media literacy education,permeate media literacy education in reading and writing teaching. |
